Bling Bling Chocoalte Cupcake

chocolate cupcake flavored with a hint of fresh orange and orange liqueur, topped with mocha orange frosting and garnished with a fresh strawberry slice, a sliver of white chocolate and chocolate shavings.

Ingredients

  • Cupcakes:
  • 1 Box Classic Butter Recipe Fudge Cake Mix
  • Replace Water with a mix of Cointreau (an orange flavored liqueur)& fresh orange juice
  • Replace Oil with Grape Seed Oil
  • 1/2 Orange Zested
  • Frosting:
  • 1 Can Duncan Hines Creamy Home Style Chocolate Buttercream frosting
  • 1/3 Cup good quality Baking Cocoa Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons soft unsalted butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Orange Juice (add more juice if needed)
  • And or
  • 2 Tablespoons Cointreau (an orange flavored liqueur)
  • 1 Orange Zested

Baking Instructions

  1. Cupcakes:
  2. Follow Duncan H box directions with the added and replaced ingredients.
  3. Use cupcake liners instead of greasing the pan.
  4. I rub a little butter around the top of the pan just in case you get carried away with batter and it spills over!
  5. Frosting:
  6. When cupcakes are cool - whip up this easy frosting.
  7. Mix all the ingredients until smooth.
  8. Use a round piping tip to pipe the icing.
  9. Add a slice strawberry, a white chocolate stick and some high quality chocolate shavings and enjoy!

Pan liners

If you have those wonderfully handy parchment sheets, create a "sling" by letting the ends hang over the sides of the pan (13x9) After the brownies cool they are easily lifted out to be cut on your cutting board! Parchment also cuts time off cookie baking, since ythere's no greasing and they can be reused!
