Ingredients

  • 1 package Duncan Hines® Classic White Cake Mix
  • Water, oil and eggs called for on cake mix package
  • 2 containers Duncan Hines® Creamy Home-Style Classic Vanilla Frosting
  • 6 drops red food color
  • 4 drops blue food color
  • 8 chocolate sandwich cookies
  • Green, orange and red food colors
  • ¼ cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted

Baking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place 16 paper liners in muffin pan(s).
  2. Prepare and Bake cake mix according to package directions with water, oil and eggs. Cool cupcakes completely on wire rack.
  3. Blend 1 container of frosting with red and blue food color.
  4. Spread frosting on each cupcake.
  5. Divide remaining container of frosting into 4 small bowls. Leave one bowl white and use food colors to tint remaining bowls, orange, green and red.
  6. Carefully separate sandwich cookies into halves. Decorate using frosting and melted chocolate. To make football, carefully trim a cookie half into football shape, using a small sharp knife.

Perfectly Fluffy Cookies

Have you ever decided to bake cookies and then realized you have somewhere to be and you've already mixed the batter? That is exactly how I discovered this amazing tip! I mix the cookie dough up and put it in a bowl with a lid. Store in freezer overnight or until you're ready. When you decide it's cookie time, preheat your oven before taking dough out of freezer. once the oven is ready, use an ice cream scoop to place cookie dough on baking sheet. bake as directed and voila! Beautiful cookies!
