Pumpkin Spice Bars

  • 1 package Duncan Hines® Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice Decadent Cupcake Mix
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 Tbsp. water, divided
  • ¼ cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter, softened

Baking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 8 x 8-inch baking pan.
  2. Combine cupcake mix, egg, 2 tablespoons water and melted butter in large bowl with wooden spoon until well blended. Mixture will be thick. Spread evenly in bottom of prepared pan.
  3. Bake 24 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely on wire rack.
  4. Blend frosting pouch with softened butter and remaining water in large bowl with wooden spoon until smooth.
  5. Place a cutting board over cooled pan and invert. Spread frosting on bars. Drizzle, if desired, with melted chocolate. Cut into bars.

What i like to do is check them with a cupcake and just leave the light ON and just using a toothpick when it comes out clean that means it's good. Also i like to leave them in there like five minutes, but with the oven OFF.
