Orange Pecan Gems

Soft orange cookies, made with Duncan Hines Orange Supreme Cake Mix, are contrasted with the crunch of pecans. Even chocolate lovers will concede that these Orange Pecan Gems are the real deal.

  • Servings: Makes 4 1/2 to 5 dozen cookies.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Duncan Hines® Signature Orange Cake Mix
  • 1 (8 oz.) container vanilla low fat yogurt
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 cup pecan halves

Baking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease cookie sheets.
  2. Combine cake mix, yogurt, egg, butter and chopped pecans in large bowl. Beat at low speed with electric mixer until blended. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2" apart onto prepared cookie sheets. Press pecan half onto center of each cookie.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 11 to 13 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute on sheets. Remove to cooling racks. Cool completely. Store in airtight container.
