Orange Nectar Marmalade Cake

If you enjoy citris flavored cakes, you will fall in love with this moist and decadent cake!

Ingredients

  • 1 Signature Orange Cake Mix
  • 1 sm. box of banana pudding mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 sm can of GOYO apricot nector
  • 1/3 cup of plain unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup orange marmalade
  • 1 teaspoon orange flavoring
  • 1 can Duncan Hines Whipped Buttercream Icing
  • Pecan Halves for garnish

Baking Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Butter and flour 3 nine inch round cake pans.
  3. Mix cake mix and pudding well with wire whisk.
  4. Add eggs, nectar, applesauce and flavoring.
  5. Mix slowly on lowest speed until all blended then increase to high for1 1/2 to 2 minutes.
  6. Add marmalade and blend on low then medium for 1/2 to 1 minutes.
  7. Divide batter evenly among baking pans and bake for 32-33 minutes.
  8. Look for sides to pull away slightly.
  9. Cool on wire racks for 10-12 minutes.
  10. Place layer one with top down onto cake plate.
  11. Microwave opened icing on high for 8 seconds.
  12. Stir then ice layer with 1/3 of icing.
  13. Place layer 2 with top up onto layer 1.
  14. Ice with 1/2 of remaining icing.
  15. Place layer 3 top up and ice with remaining icing.
  16. Use 3-4 toothpicks to immoblize cake.
  17. Garnish with pecan halves.

refridgerate your batter, dough etc before baking - specific to making cookies and pie crust. Also, chill cupcakes prior to frosting. They will be firm and not crumble as much.
