Red White and Blue Cake

Baking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease two 8-inch round cake pans with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Prepare and bake the cake according to the package directions.
  3. Cool cakes on wire rack 15 minutes. Remove cakes from pans and cool completely.
  4. Arrange one cake on serving plate and evenly spread with 1 cup frosting. Add a layer of Strawberry Pie Filling on top of frosting. Top with second cake layer. Frost with remaining frosting and garnish with remaining pie filing & topping.

Extend your cake mix

Ingredients: 3/4 cup flour 1/4 cup sugar 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup oil 1 egg Directions 1-Mix all together. 2-Add to your already mixed cake mix batter. 3-Bake per directions but may need and additional 5-10 minutes longer to become done.
