Caramel Bundt Cake

A time-honored classic, with a twist - Duncan Hines devil's food cake, caramel sauce, vanilla glaze, and a splash of strong coffee.

Baking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare, bake and cool cake in a Bundt pan according to package directions. Cool completely.
  2. Heat caramel sauce until pourable.
  3. Pour caramel sauce over cake.
  4. Place frosting in microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at High 10 seconds at a time, stirring, until melted. Mix in coffee.
  5. Drizzle over the Bundt cake.

Any of the duncan hines cake mixes can be made low fat by substituting one can of diet soda (your choice of flavors) with the dry cake mix. Bakes up great and taste wonderful! Add a frosting of fat free/no sugar cool whip on top....enjoy...


Cakes not rising?

Cakes not rising?

I am trouble recently with cakes not rising. I only use Duncan Hines mixes and always with good results. Not sure what has changed (mix reformulated perhaps?). The mixes I've used these past few months (Yellow, Chocolate Fudge, Vanilla & Pineapple) all bake with a reduced rise. Also, the texture seems a bit off. If it 'aint broke .....
