Cream Cheese Brownie Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 1 box Duncan Hines Chewy Fudge Brownie mix
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 egg
  • 1 , 16 oz tub Duncan Hines Cream Cheese Frosting
  • Purple food coloring
  • Sprinkles to garnish

Baking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium bowl combine brownie mix, butter, cream cheese and egg. Stir until dough comes together, it will be very thick and sticky. I used my hands.
  4. Spoon rounded tablespoon size portion of dough onto baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake 10 -12 minutes until edges are set.
  6. Allow to cool completely before frosting.
  7. Tint frosting with purple food coloring until desired color is reached and spread or pipe 1-2 Tbsp frosting on each cookie.
  8. Garnish with sprinkles if desired.

If you want to jazz up a yellow or white cake batter, use liquor or any of the bottled coffee flavorings. I use up to three tablespoons and it lends a great flavor. Be sure to use a frosting that has a compliment flavor or use the same in it.



Add a teaspoon of vanilla to cake mix and stir makes the box cake mix tastes like real home made cake.
