Ingredients

  • 1 package Duncan Hines® Signature Confetti Cake Mix
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 9 Tbsp of unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 Tbsp corn syrup

Baking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F and line a 8" x 8" square pan with non-stick aluminum foil.
  2. Combine cake mix, egg yolks, melted butter, water and corn syrup.
  3. Transfer batter to prepared pan and bake for 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted into pan comes out clean.
  4. Let bars cool completely.

When I used the Red Velvet cake mix, I used 1/2 cup of sour cream, and mixed it with enough (real dairy) half and half to equal 11/4 cups to replace the water. I also added two extra TBS of cocoa powder, and one half TBS of vinegar. Imade cupcakes and they turned out wonderful!
