Baking Instructions

Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F for metal and glass pans. *325°F for dark or coated pans.

Mix: Empty contents of pecan coconut pouch into a small bowl. Stir 1/3 cup of water and 2 Tablespoons melted butter into bowl with ingredient pouch. Stir until pecan coconut pouch mixture thickens. Set aside.

Mix: Empty cake mix into large bowl. Stir eggs, 1 cup of water and oil into cake mix until moistened (about 50 strokes). Pour batter into prepared pan. Spoon pecan coconut mixture from Step 2 onto the cake surface randomly. Swirl pecan coconut mixture into the surface of the cake using a knife or spatula.

Bake in center of oven at 350°F follow chart below.

For 2 8-inch pans, bake 28–30 minutes.

For a single layer 9-inch pan, bake 42–47 minutes.

For a 13 x 9-inch pan, bake 27–30 minutes.

Cake is done when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool cakes in pans on wire rack for 15 minutes before removing. Cool completely before frosting.

High altitude (over 3,5000 FT): Stir 2 tablespoons of flour into mix and follow directions above.
