When the boxed brownie mix calls for water, substitute with dark rum. I did this as an experiment and it was absolutely delicious. Even better the next day. For that extra kick as soon as you remove the brownies from the oven sprinkle dark chocolate chips on the top, wait a few min. then spread evenly. That extra chocolate and rum flavor is wonderful

Slicing cakes evenly and no mess

I have found that if you put about 4 tooth picks around the cake, then use Dental Floss, long enough to hold on to and while the cake is a bit warm. Hold the floss tight and with a sawing motion you'll soon have two cakes the same size. I started doing this when I began making Wedding Cakes and the cakes were so thick. Happy Baking, Donna
