If you mix equal parts solid shortening, flour, and oil, you will have a paste to grease your pans. It works great, without the flour powder on your cakes. It can be stored in the cupboard for future use, also.

You may substitute fat-free instant pudding instead of regular instant pudding in pound cakes. However the texture and consistency may be drier. So, if you don't mind losing some of the moistness, go right ahead.

On the recipe for Lemon Crumb cake, I believe there is a mistake in amount ot water in recipe. I believe that it should be only 1/3. Batter was very thin and I think that is why crumbs sank. Still good, but not the desired crumb cake.
