Layered Chocolate Mint Fudge

If you love the combination of chocolate and mint you will love this fudge. Two layers of chocolate fudge with a layer of mint chocolate in between.

Ingredients

  • 1 packet of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Mint Chocolate Flavor Mix
  • 1 14 oz can condensed milk
  • 1 bag Hershy semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 bag white vandy melts
  • 1 1/2 TBS vanilla

Baking Instructions

  1. 1. Line small glass pan with foil, lightly grease the inside with butter.
  2. 2. On low heat melt the bag of chocolate chips and 1 cup of condensed milk, stiring the whole time. Remove from the heat then add vanilla, stir.
  3. 3. Seperate chocolate mixture in two bowls. Pour 1st bowl into lined pan.
  4. 4. Chill for 5-10 minutes until semi firm. Lay a sheet of greased wax paper over chocolate layer then use a spatula or flat surface to even out layer and press flat.
  5. 5. Melt 1/2 package (about 7 oz) of white candy melts and remaining condensed milk in a sauce pan on medium stirring the whole time. Remove from heat and add Duncan Hines Mint Chocolate Flavor Packet, stir.
  6. 6. Pour mint fudge on top of 1st chocolate layer.
  7. 6. Chill for 5-10 minutes. Use greased wax paper to level second layer.
  8. 7. Pour 2nd bowl of chocolate mixture on top of mint layer.
  9. 8. Chill for 5-10 minutes. Again use a greased wax paper to level the 2nd chocolate layer.
  10. 9. Refridgerate for 1 hour.
  11. To cut easily pull fudge from pan lifting the foil. Then trim messy edges and cut into 1 inche squares.

I like to heat a cup of water to boiling in my microwave oven and then place my bowl of bread or pan of roll dough inside the microwave oven. Of course, I remove the cup of water before placing the dough in the microwave. Beverly

Duncan Hines Classsic White Wedding Cake Instructions

I've had this for years and pull it out when I do a wedding cake. Photo from cakecentral.com. 1. Preheat oven to 325*. Generously grease and flour pans. 2. For each box of cake mix, add 3 egg whites, 1 1/3 cups water, 2 Tablespoons oil. Blend at medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping bowl. Pour in pans and bake. 3. Bake at 325* until toothpick comes out clean. 4. Cool 15 to 20 minutes in pan on wire cooling rack. Amount of Batter Per Pan - all are in INCHES!!! (each box yields 5 cups) 6"x2" & 2 cups @ 40-50 min. 8"x2" & 3 1/2 cups @ 40-50 min. 10"x2" & 5 cups (1 mix) @ 40-50 min. 12"x2" & 7 1/2 cups 45-55 min. 14"x2" & 10 cups (2 mixes) @ 45-55 min. 16"x2" & 13 cups @ 45-55 min.
