Caramel Banana Tacos

Sassy and satisfying, these sweet tacos are sure to tickle the senses. With hints of cinnamon, mini chocolate chips, Duncan Hines vanilla cake, cooked banana, whipped cream and lots of caramel frosting, these are sure to be a crowd pleaser and they are so much fun to eat. "Ole!" Enjoy...

Ingredients Baking Instructions
  • 1 packet of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Caramel Flavor Mix and 1 can of Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter
  • 12 baked Duncan Hines vanilla flavor cupcakes
  • 1 bunch of bananas
  • pkg. small fajita size flour tortillas
  • 1 c. Cinnamon sugar mix
  • pkg mini chocolate chips
  • whipped topping in a can
  • Cooking oil for frying
  1. Heat oil and fry flour tortillas as you would taco shells, until light brown.
  2. As you remove each taco shell from the oil, place on paper towels and sprinkle outsides of the shell immediately with cinnamon sugar mix.
  3. Set aside to cool.
  4. Slice bananas in half.
  5. Spray saute pan with cooking spray and fry each side of the bananas for about 1 min each to bring out the natural flavors.
  6. Set aside to cool.
  7. Pour pack of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Caramel Flavor Mix into can of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter. Stir until evenly blended.
  8. To assemble tacos, take half of a cupcake or more and tear it into pieces and set at the bottom of the taco shell.
  9. Add the slice of banana next.
  10. Put a layer of Duncan Hines caramel Frosting on next using a ziploc bag with corner cut or pastry bag.
  11. Put a layer of whipped topping on it.
  12. Sprinkle with mini chips
  13. Enjoy

You could even make this into Banana nachos too, by cutting the shells into triangles before frying, and then stacking all ingredients on top and then drizzling with the frosting creations caramel frosting. It will look just like yummy cheesy nachos....
