Ruby red strawberries and plump ripe bananas are delicately folded within a rich, yet light, filling. It's like eating your favorite smoothie––except for the light, flakey crust!
- Crust
- 1 pkg Duncan Hines® Home-Style Golden Sugar Cookie Mix
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
- 1 tsp water
- Filling
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 banana
- 1 tub Duncan Hines® Creamy Home-Style Cream Cheese Frosting
- 1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese
- 1 (10 oz) pkg frozen sweetened sliced strawberries
- 2 cups frozen non-dairy whipped topping, thawed
- fresh strawberries
- mint leaves
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line bottom and sides of 9x9-inch pan with aluminum foil.
- For crust, combine cookie mix, butter and water. Stir until thoroughly blended. Press evenly on bottom and 1/2 inch up sides of lined pan.
- Bake at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely.
- For filling, sprinkle lemon juice over banana slices; set aside. Combine frosting and cream cheese in large bowl. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer for 2 minutes or until creamy. Fold in thawed strawberries, banana slices and 1 cup whipped topping. Pour into prepared crust. Cover. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
- To assemble, lift edges of aluminum foil to remove tart from pan. Remove foil carefully. Place tart on serving plate. Garnish with remaining whipped topping, fresh strawberries and mint leaves, if desired.

It looks to me that the 2 tarts are side-by-side together to appear as one big layer. The cookie crusts are situated in the middle between the 2 fillings to look like 2 layers, so it seems to be somewhat crustless.
But, it sure looks delicious. I am going to make this scrumptious recipe very soon. I love the combination of blended strawberries and bananas.

The picture looks as if it have chunks of cake mixed in and I don't see a bottom crust. I can't seem to reconcile the picture with the recipe directions.

I was thinking the same thing. Picture doesn't match the directions at all??? So for the other people who have made this recipe, did you follow the directions and/or did it look like the pictures?

The picture they have posted of this recipe is actually the picture of the "Angel Strawberry Bavarian". Two totally different desserts.
