Caramel filled chocolate tiki dudes! Perfect for a summer luau or BBQ!
- 1 packet of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Caramel Flavor Mix
- 1 can of Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter
- Melting candy in the colors blue, red, green, orange & brown (chocolate)
- Skewers/ tooth picks
- Paint brush
- Silicone tiki mold
- Melt your colored candy in separate containers. Of each color you will only need about 5 wafers. For your brown base you will need around 1 and 1/2 cups
- Use a skewer to fill in the face. Blue for the eyes, Red for the mouth, Orange and Green for the bands, Allow to dry
- Using your paint brush use just enough brown chocolate to cover the face and coat the sides of the mold, Allow to dry
- In a microwavable bow add a few spoon fulls of the Duncan Hines Frosting Creations base
- Slowly add in the caramel flavor packet until you get the flavor of your liking ( I used about half of the packet)
- Place in the microwave for 5-10 seconds, stir
- Use a small spoon ( I used a 1/4 teaspoon) fill the mold cavity with the melted caramel mixture
- Seal the mold by using your paintbrush and melted brown chocolate, Allow to dry/harden.
- * You can speed up the hardening process by placing the mold in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes
- *I garnished these with shredded coconut that I dyed green

Brittney, where did you find the tiki mold? I looked at Joann Fabrics, Michael's and Wal-Mart. =(
