Apples + Toffee + Pecans = Delicious. Enjoy this tasty pie with Duncan Hines Comstock® or Wilderness® More Apple Filling.
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup cold butter or margarine, cut into chunks
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup toffee bits
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1/3 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup pecans
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 can (21 ounces) Comstock® or Wilderness® More Fruit Apple Filling
- 1 carton (8 ounces) refrigerated whipped topping
- Whole pecans for decorating
Crust:
- In food processor combine flour, sugar, salt, butter, and egg; pulse until butter is chopped to the size of peas.
- Empty mixture into bowl and stir in toffee bits.
- Press into greased 9-inch pie plate.
Filling:
- In medium bowl, combine eggs, sugar, salt, butter, and corn syrup. Beat with electric mixer until light and fluffy.
- Stir in pecans. Pour mixture into crust.
- Bake in preheated 350ºF oven for 30 minutes or until done (test with knife).
- Remove from oven and spread apple filling over top.
- Return to oven for 10 minutes. Allow to cool.
- Decorate with whipped topping and whole pecans.

Sounds good - haven't tried it yet, but think I'll make it with peach filling. .instead
