Monkey Bread/ Drizzle Icing

A great party treat to put along-side a pinapple or a fruit salad

Ingredients

  • Monkey Bread
  • ___________
  • *2 cans of pilsburry cresant rolls
  • *angle food cake pan
  • *crisco
  • *1 cup sugar
  • *1/4 tsp. sugar
  • *1/2 tbsp. cinnanmon
  • *1/4 cup melted butter
  • Drizzle Icing
  • _________
  • *1 cup sifted powder sugar
  • *1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • *1 tbsp. milk (+)

Baking Instructions

  1. *preheat oven to 350
  2. *stir together all the sugar and cinnanmon into a medium sized bowl
  3. *open up just one of the cans of rolls
  4. *cut each cresant roll into quarters
  5. *roll each quarter into the sugar cinnanmon mixture
  6. *place all the quarters from the first can into the bottom of the angel food cake pan
  7. *drizzle half of the melted butter on top
  8. *open up the second can
  9. *cut each biscuit into quarters and roll in cinnanmon sugar mixture
  10. *put a secnd layer in the angle food cake and top with remaining butter
  11. *sprinkle with any remaining sugar cinnanmon mixture
  12. *bake for 20-25 min.
  13. *cool pan for 5 min.
  14. *invert to a dinnerplate
  15. ________________
  16. Drizzle Icing
  17. *stir together sugar, vanilla, and 1 tbsp. of milk until smooth
  18. *add a TEASPOON of milk at a time until drizzle consistency
  19. *drizzle icing onto top of monkey bread
  20. **You can always use food coloring to change the color if the icing to match and occasion
  21. pink for valentines day
  22. green for c hristmas
  23. red or blue for July 4th
  24. orange for halloween
  25. ect...

Add one box of Jell0 coconut cream pudding to your coconut cake mix or to the vanilla cake mix for a more coconut tasting cake. Delicious.

We tried the new Decadent cupcake with frosting, it is delicious! We stored the frosting in the frig but let it warm a bit before inserting into the cupcake. We used a twist tie to seal the bag top, and a mini-chip clip to close the end before using it again. The frosting is not a heavy cream cheese taste and flowed nicely from the bag provided in the box.
