These Golden Oatmeal Muffins, made with Duncan Hines Butter Golden Cake Mix, are absolutely delicious -- especially when served warm with a little butter. Why not also try them with your favorite preserves?
- 1 pkg Duncan Hines® Moist Deluxe® Butter Golden Cake Mix
- 1 cup uncooked quick-cooking oats
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 large eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 tbsp butter or margarine, melted
- Preheat oven to 400 ºF. Grease 24 muffin cups or line with paper baking cups.
- Combine cake mix, oats and salt in large bowl. Add milk, eggs and melted butter; stir until moistened. Fill muffin cups two-thirds full.
- Bake 13 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan 5 to 10 minutes. Loosen carefully before removing from pan. Serve with honey or your favorite jam.

I bet this would work well with Spice Cake mix and other flavors also!

I just made these and I loved them. My 8 year old daughter won't eat oatmeal, I think I have found a good way to sneak it in cause she likes them also!!

I also added banana and reduced the milk a little. Also, mini chocolate chips. The track team loved them for a morning snack. Also, instead of the honey, I put raw sugar on the ones without chocolate chips before baking.

An OK muffin; nothing wow about it. I made 22 decent sized ones, added chocolate chips to them, which made them have more flavor. Without the chips, the muffins would have been very bland. Easy recipe, doubt will make again.
