This is a really good chocolate frosting. I like to eat it plain.
- 2 cups sifted confectioners sugar
- 1/4 cup soft butter or margarine
- 1 tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 egg (pasteurized if possible)
- 2 envelopes pre-melted unsweetened chocolate or 2 squares unsweetened chocolate melted
- Combine in bowl, confectioners sugar, butter, milk , vanilla and salt.
- Beat in egg.
- Blend in 2 envelopes melted chocolate.
- This fills and frosts two 8 or 9-inch cake layers or a 13x9-inch cake.

They sell the chocolate pre-melted in foil envelopes now.
