Icing.
- 2 lb. powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 1/2 cups Crisco
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. butter flavoring (McCormick's)
- 1/2 cup milk
- Beat until mixed thoroughly.
- Spread on cooled cake.

No it is shortening and you do not melt it just mix it all together.

Agree! I have tried everything under the sun to get that really good icing for a wedding cake! Somehow with wedding cakes, it doesn't matter how good the actual cake is...if the frosting is "off" it just ruins the whole thing. Thanks for sharing!!!
