So I ran to the store and bought some and made them and it was the greatest taste ever. I went back to the store and bought 10 packages of each flavor and I am going to make cakepops in each flavor.

Tips

slicing layers trick

slicing layers trick

When you need to "slice" a layer of cake in half to layer with filling, use dental floss. Encircle the layer of cake with a piece of floss long enough to go all away around the cake; make sure the floss is approximately in the middle around the side (where you want to divide it into two layers) then cross the ends of the floss and with one end in each hand gently pull on the floss until it has cut all the way through the layer.

summer treat

summer treat

I have a "Add water only" pancake mix and in the summer, when I don't want to heat up the oven, I sometimes mix up a little, throw in some chocolate chips and walnuts and make a pancake. I think I would prefer to use a cake mix for better results, but can't find one where it only needs water. Properly marketed, this could be a good selling item.
