Baking Instructions

  1. Pour pack of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Chocolate Marshmallow Flavor Mix into can of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter. Stir until evenly distributed.
  2. Preheat oven 350° F.
  3. Place cupcake liners in cupcake pan.
  4. Mix 1 cup of graham cracker crumbs, melted butter sugar and salt in small bowl.
  5. Place 2 tsp. of the graham cracker mixture in bottom of cupcake liner.
  6. Bake for 5-7 minutes until the graham cracker layer is golden.
  7. While you let the layer cool, prepare the cake batter as directed on package.
  8. Once mixed, get an ice cream scoop size into each cupcake liner on top of the graham cracker layer.
  9. Bake cupcakes for about 18-22 minutes depending on the heat of your oven.
  10. After baking test cupcakes by taking a toothpick and putting into a few cupcakes to make sure the toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Let cupcakes cool for about 5-10 minutes.
  12. Once cooled, cut a cone-shape piece out of each cupcake, not cutting to the graham cracker layer.
  13. Put marshmallow fluff into a piping bag and squeeze fluff into middle part of cupcake.
  14. Frost cupcakes with the Duncan Hines Frosting Creations Chocolate Marshmallow flavor mix.
  15. Garnish each cupcake with a mini marshmallow and a piece of graham cracker.

Tips

Cupcakes - Icing

Cupcakes - Icing

The best way I found to ice cupcakes is to put all the icing in a shallow bowl and simply dip the top of the cupcakes in it. It comes out much more even and is so easy to do.

Ups & Downs of Frosting

Ups & Downs of Frosting

When creating perfect ruffles for a beautiful Duncan Hines ruffle cake, you should begin with a lightly frosted cake. You'll also need a petal decorating tip and a pastry bag. Next, put the tip into the bag and fill it up with frosting. You can color your frosting with a colored gel paste. Once you're ready, hold the bag straight up and down with the narrow end of the tip facing you and the wider and facing the edge of the cake. Squeeze in an up-and-down, back-and-forth motion all the way up the side of the cake. When you've finished the first column of ruffles, move all the way around the cake until you end up with your own beautiful work of art. Enjoy!
