Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

One of my favorite ways of making cupcakes- in an ice cream cone!

Ingredients Baking Instructions
  • 1 box Duncan Hines cake mix (any flavor)
  • 24 ice cream cake cones
  • Duncan Hines Frosting
  • Toppings: chopped nuts, chocolate sprinkles, colored sprinkles or colored sugar
  1. Follow directions on box for mixing batter.
  2. Half fill ice cream cones with batter.
  3. Place cones in muffin pans to secure upright position.
  4. Bake as directed for cupcakes.
  5. Frost when cool.
  6. Decorate with toppings. Be creative.

Filled cones as directed; no special methods for them since not mentioned. My cones were soggy. Baked last night & decorated this morning. What was wrong?
