Great for special occasions and family get togethers.
- 1 box Duncan Hines Chocolate cake mix
- 1 6 oz pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 egg
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 can Duncan Hines chocolate frosting
- 8 oz pkg. cream cheese (at room temperature)
- Mix cake as directed.
- Line cupcake pans with paper.
- Mix egg, cream cheese, sugar, salt and chocolate chips in a small bowl.
- Fill cupcake liners 1/2 full.
- Add 1 tbsp. cream cheese mixture to each.
- Top with a small amount of cake, mix just to cover the cream cheese, or to bring the cake to two thirds full.
- Bake at 350 F oven for 20-25 minutes.
- Frost when cool with chocolate frosting of your choice.

I am going to try this recipe but I will also be adding raspberry filling prior to frosting. I will keep you informed.

I thought this recipe was pretty good!. I have also used this recipe idea, using cherry pie filling rather than the cream cheese mixture. This is also yummy!
