Ingredients Baking Instructions
  • Duncan Hines Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 200g red licorice
  • 20 white chocolate chips
  • 20 black chocolate chips
  • 6 chocolate chip cookies (crushed)
  • Duncan Hines Chocolate frosting
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 20 cupcake liners.
  2. Cream together the eggs with margarine and vegetable oil.
  3. Add in the chocolate fudge cake mix slowly, 1/3 at a time, beating well.
  4. Mix together the milk and blend well. Pour into cupcake liners.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 22-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cupcake cool for about 20 minutes before assembling the spiders. Ensure that you do one spider at a time. This will prevent the frosting to solidify so that the cookie crumbs are attached.
  7. Frost the cupcake
  8. Stick 4 pieces of licorice on each side of the cupcake. (8 legs for each spider)
  9. Sprinkle chocolate chip cookie crumbs on the cupcake.
  10. Use a little bit of frosting to stick the black chocolate chips onto the white chocolate chips to create eyes for the spider
  11. Place 2 eyes in the middle of the cupcake
  12. Use a tiny piece of licorice as its mouth
