This is a delicious bar cookie that will remind you of cheesecake.
- 1 Duncan Hines Golden Cake Mix
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans, divided
- 1 cup brown sugar
- Two packages of 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- Grease and flour 9x13 pan.
- Stir cake mix, butter, and 3/4 cup pecans together. Press into pan.
- Mix cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Spread on base.
- Sprinkle with 3/4 cup chopped nuts.
- Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees until center is set and bars are lightly browned.
- Cool and cut into squares.
- These bars cut better when cool, but are also good a little warm.

I am going to give these cheese bars a four-star rating because they are so very easy to make and because the taste is divine.
