Yellow cake mix cookies

Easy yellow cake mix cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 box Yellow cake mix
  • 1 8 oz Package of cream cheese
  • 1 stick of butter (1/2 cup)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbs Vanilla
  • Pre heat oven to 375
  • Spray cookie sheet with non stick spray
  • Beat cream cheese and butter together until smooth and fluffy.
  • add egg into mixture
  • add vanilla into mixture and mix well
  • add the yellow cake mix slowly into wet ingredients mix well
  • drop table spoon size drops on the cookies sheet and bake for 10 to 12 min
  • let cool and enjoy.

I like fruit flavored cakes, but, I find the flavors a bit on the weak side, so, I have a little trick to enhance it. For the lemon cake mix I use some bottled lemon juice in place of some of the water called for, approximately 1/3 of a cup of the juice then the rest of the liquid as plain water makes a stronger lemon flavor. Also, I like pineapple upside down cakebut again I find the original flavor weak, so I use the juice in one can of sliced pineappe and water to bring the liquid up.

Decorating With Sliced Almonds

Sliced almonds can be tricky to work with because they are delicate. If you are using them for decorating, gently pour opened bag of almonds onto flat surface. They will break easily when picking up, or going throuth to find just the right ones, tread lightly using just one or two fingers. Use any remaining broken pieces for garnishes or in salads.
