I made these for my work Bake Sale. I used Red Velvet, and yes I still added the pudding- HUGE success!!! They sold out quickly and the next day I am still getting asked about them! <3

My girlfriend also made these using the Red Velvet mix, as that's both my favorite cake, and here (northern New Hampshire, really close to the Maine border) whoopie pies are everywhere and we found red velvet whoopie pies once. We actually used cream cheese frosting for the filling and they were AWESOME!!!

I had Whoopie Pies at the Amish Market in Annapolis MD. Addictively delicious! I think I will also use marshmallow cream instead of marshmallows.

Made these using Duncan Hines Red Velvet Cake Mix, my grandson's favorite. Also, used marshmallow cream rather than marshmallows.

My mom makes these with a slight change... butter instead of shortening, and no marshmallows. My favorite!
