Rich and different with a different twist on the 'ol standby. Try them!

Ingredients Baking Instructions
  • Use your fav choc. chip recipe (I like Nestle's Tollhouse recipe as seen on their website. .
  • . Use only real butter
  • .Use only real vanilla.
  • . Add a heaping TBSP. of fresh cinnamon.
  • . Add some sliced almonds.
  • . Add some finely chopped maracino cherries.
  • . Use a bag of Brach's stars, each star cut in half, for the chips.
  • . 1 tsp. of amaretto extract or almond extract
  1. roll each cookie in a walnut sized ball and put on cookie sheet. Follow your recipe's directions.

Ladies...The amaretto extract (you can sub almond extract) is the amaretto flavor. The extract gives it a more intense flavor than using actual amaretto. I have done alot of baking with spirits, and I always use the extracts for the booze if I can get them, like Kahlua extract...for instance. -Muffin Baker

Don't wish to offend the other bakers - but seriously.....????? Surely the almonds give the taste of Amaretto? Wise up kids.

hi cookiequeen,
i would add a tsp of ammaretto to give it that flavor. your right the ammaretto isn't listed in the ingredients.

I agree, I was excited to find this recipe, but with the ingredients how do you get ammaretto taste???
