A great recipe that is easy to make for a great dessert!

Ingredients Baking Instructions
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 15 oz. can of pumpkin
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp .baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 3/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  1. Mix together in large bowl: eggs, oil, sugar, and pumpkin mix. Set aside.
  2. Sift in bowl: flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice.
  3. Mix with other ingredients.
  4. Pour in greased and floured 10-inch baking pan.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Take out and put on wire rack to cool.
  6. Beat cream cheese, butter, and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
  7. Add sugar gradually, beating until well-blended after each addition.
  8. Spread on cooled cake mix. Serve. Cover with plastic wrap when finished.
  9. If desired, you may sprinkle the frosting with toasted pecans or caramelized walnuts. 8 oz. Cream cheese, softened 3/4 cup powdered sugar 1/4 cup butter, softened 1 tsp. vanilla This will make a slightly whipped frosting, add more powdered sugar to make it thicker.

Don't know if the ingredients were added after the comments about missing ingredients were made, but the icing ingredients are listed in the last step of preparation.

this was very good, but made it a bit easier, for the frosting I used 1 can duncan hines vanilla frosting and added 1 8 oz package cream cheese, I whipped it all together and spread it over my cooled bars, I placed mine in the fridge over night and cut the bars the next day...they were a sensation.... The crew aboard the CVN-72 loved them, I was asked by many to keep em coming!!!!

Where is the recipe for the frosting? I do not see any mention of butter or cream cheese in the recipe. Thanks for any measurements.

i would like to save this recipe but all of the recipe is not there, like one of the others said above where are the items and quantitys of the frosting??
