These are vegan!
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup canola oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 cups self rising flour
- 1/4 cup applesauce or other egg substitute*
- 1 cup, more or less, chocolate chips
- In large bowl, add sugars, oil, vanilla, applesauce or other egg substitute.
- Blend until combined.
- Add flour and chocolate chips
- After mixing all ingredients, roll dough into one inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake in pre-heated 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes.
- If you like sweeter cookies, add 1/2 cup each of the sugars. *If not using applesauce, use powdered egg replacer substitute. If using this, make sure to blend it very very well before adding to rest of the ingredients. Mix it in separate bowl then add. Or, if you would like a banana flavor, use one mashed up banana. This will give a noticeable banana taste.

What kind of chocolate chips do you use to make them vegan? Most chocolate chips contain milk, don't they?
