These fun, unique bars get their blue color and cotton candy flavor from the wonderful Frosting Creations packets and their great texture and ease from a box of cake mix. White chocolate chips add a nice crunch, along with plenty of rainbow sprinkles! They can feed and please a crowd--kids and adults alike--reminiscent of a summertime carnival anytime of year.
- 2 packets of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Cotton Candy Flavor Mix and 1 can of Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter
- 1 box white cake mix
- 1 cup sprinkles, plus more for garnish
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- Pour pack of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Cotton Candy Flavor Mix into can of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter. Stir until evenly blended. Set aside.
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13x9 inch baking pan with cooking spray and set aside.
- 2. In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, one cup of the sprinkles, one packet of the cotton candy Frosting Creations, the eggs and oil together with a wooden spoon until a soft dough forms. Stir in the white chocolate chips.
- 3. Press mixture evenly into the prepared pan and bake until lightly golden and center is set, about 14-16 minutes. Cool completely in pan.
- 4. Frost cooled bars with the prepared frosting mixture. Place the frosted bars in the fridge to harden the icing, for about an hour. Cut into bars and serve.
