Recipe Description
Dark chocolate brownies with a rich and creamy coconut middle layer.

Ingredients Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix brownies according to directions on box. Pour 1/2 of the batter into the greased pan. Reserved the other half of the batter.
  3. Filling - Mix together the coconut, the sweetened condensed milk, 1 tablespoon flour, one egg and the nuts.
  4. Spread filling over first layer of chocolate brownie.
  5. Spread remaining chocolate brownie on top of coconut layer.
  6. Bake brownies for 35-40 minutes until firm in center.
  7. Allow to cool. Cut and enjoy.
  8. Tips:

  9. Garnish with additional sweetened coconut
  10. For easy clean up line the bottom of baking pan with parchment paper.
  11. Do not grease the sides of a brownie pan, only grease the bottom.

Really? No pan size - no specific size of condensed milk - that would be very important - I know how to bake and I have all these questions. I can imagine people on here who don't have a lot of baking knowledge. Baking is more of a science, you have to have correct amounts of ingredients and pan size is important - if you want it to bake up correctly. There - I've vented....

Can someone tell me if the sweetened condensed milk is the 14 oz size? It's the only size I know of.

no they make a small can - not sure how many ounces it is - if you can't find it with the eagle brand - look in the ethnic foods section with the mexican products. it will be La Lechera and is 3.5 ounces.

Made these during the hoildays . They were scuffed up . I used a 9x9 pan also. Will definitely make again. Quick and easy to make.

I live in Calumet City IL . I can not find the coconut supreme cake mix it's a holiday favorite with my family. Went to Super Wal-Mart today and it wasn't there help!!!!!!!!

Bakers, how many ounces in the small can of sweetened condensed milk? I have only found one size?

if they are truly talking about a small can it is 3.5 ounces. you may have to look in the mexican food aisle for La Lachera

I made these yesterday and they were so good and moist...I used a 9x9 pan, it was perfect, will for sure do them again...

I made these brownies to take to a potluck and everyone loved them. I loved the variation of the brownie and they turned out to be delicious. I love the fact that they are also easy to make.
