An even better version of these is to skip the marshmallows and spread a tub/jar of marshmallow cream on cooled brownies. Delicious!

I followed the directions to acheive a brownie bar like the pic posted of it, but was not successful. So, what I did instead was mix everything together- marshmallows and chocolate topping. However, for my second batch, I spread the chocolate topping on the just baked brownies and then topped them with the marshmallows, popped them back in the oven for about 4 mins, and voila!, a layered effect. I bought the "standard" (I don't recall the actual flavor) chocolate "Family Size" brownie mix, made the brownie-like mixture, and baked in a 9x13 pan. This serving was perfect. I made these instead of a cake for my kid's bday party and EVERYONE loved them! I will definitely be making these again.

After baking and cooling the brownies, one version has you spreading a tub of vanilla frosting and sprinkle of chopped peanuts. Chill. Melt the choc. chips and peanut butter with two cups of rice cereal and top in the same manner...it is higher and crispier. Try it.
