Festive Chocolate Chip Cookies

Choose your favorite color or select decors to match the season. Either way, these Festive Chocolate Chip Cookies will be the most festive looking and best tasting chocolate chip cookies at the party.

Ingredients Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F.
  2. Combine cake mix, brown sugar, egg and oil in large bowl. Beat at low speed with electric mixer until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Form dough into 1 1/2-inch ball. Dip top of ball in decors. Place ball décor-side up on ungreased baking sheets. Repeat with remaining dough placing balls 2-inches apart on baking sheets.
  3. Bake at 350 °F 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown around edges. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheets. Remove to cooling racks. Cool completely. Store in airtight container.

I have used this recipe for years, my kids and grandkids love to eat them as they come out of the over. I use M & M at Valentine, Easter, Christmas, and many other time of the year with chocloate chips and pecans, you can't beat them.

Hi Ida! I tried this recipe 4 the 1st time 2nite! Cookies taste great but they did not come out "flat". Instead, they were more round with a brown color on the back. I like my cookies "flat", if you know what I mean. any tiips?

5 star plus!!! Just finished making the magnificent cookies. But by mistake, used French Vanilla cake mix. OMG!! i can't stop eating these. Easy, delicious, oh and I got 2 short of 5 doz. cookies. Great, especially when you make Christmas cookies for gifts!! Love you Duncan Hines.

These cookies are fantastic. I had to add aliitle more oil.
