It's Christmas baking time. I made these cookies last year. They are
great!! Easy and quick to do.
Also made them with Chocolate mix. A big success!!
- 1 box of Duncan Hines Lemon Cake box mix
- 2 Cups of Cool Whip
- 1 large egg
- powder sugar
- Mix the cake box mix, cool whip and egg into a bowl. Mix well. Use a spoon and drop into a bowl of powdered sugar. Shape into a ball and place on a well greased cookie pan. Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Can use any flavor box mix.

When I started this post, I was going to say "I'll let you know how my cookies turn out after they'e done" .. .. .. they were in the oven at the time.
They came out really well. altho I would say to check them for doneness before 10 minutes. The directions call for 10 - 15 minutes in the oven. My oven temp is accurate and 10 minutes was a touch too much.
I really liked the idea that this was a super simple to make recipe and tastes like a from-scratch snack. The cost was $2.00 for the cake mix and store brand cool whip - I might be able to bring the cost down a little by watching for cake mixes on sale.
I am sure I will make these again and perhaps try various flavors :)

Great cookie recipe! I've never made cookies with cake mix before but this was really easy and now will be part of my regular cookie rotation!
