Honey Bun Cake

A sweet, moist, sticky cake that is much like a Honey Bun sweet roll. Almost a shame to save it for dessert.....

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Duncan Hines Classic Yellow cake mix
  • 2/3 cup cooking oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 6 tbsp. milk

Baking Instructions

  1. Mix the first 7 ingredients together in a large mixing bowl with electric mixer on medium until well blended and batter is smooth.
  2. Grease 9x13-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray or shortening.
  3. Pour cake batter into pan.
  4. Bake at 325 degrees for 40-45 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  5. Meanwhile, mix the last 3 ingredients together in a medium mixing bowl.
  6. When cake is done, remove from oven and pour the mixture on top of hot cake.
  7. Serve warm.

i love these daisy petaled cupcakes but my family isnt crazy about lemon curd so I came up with another idea for center of daisies use the peach or strawberry glace that is sold in grocery stores to glace fresh fruit and berries with it looks nice and tastes great.

If you have those wonderfully handy parchment sheets, create a "sling" by letting the ends hang over the sides of the pan (13x9) After the brownies cool they are easily lifted out to be cut on your cutting board! Parchment also cuts time off cookie baking, since ythere's no greasing and they can be reused!
