Honey Bun Cake

A sweet, moist, sticky cake that is much like a Honey Bun sweet roll. Almost a shame to save it for dessert.....

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Duncan Hines Classic Yellow cake mix
  • 2/3 cup cooking oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 6 tbsp. milk

Baking Instructions

  1. Mix the first 7 ingredients together in a large mixing bowl with electric mixer on medium until well blended and batter is smooth.
  2. Grease 9x13-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray or shortening.
  3. Pour cake batter into pan.
  4. Bake at 325 degrees for 40-45 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  5. Meanwhile, mix the last 3 ingredients together in a medium mixing bowl.
  6. When cake is done, remove from oven and pour the mixture on top of hot cake.
  7. Serve warm.

Cake Tastes Better Frozen

After baking your cake let the cake stand cooling it off completely then wrap with tin foil strong in freezer until completely frozen once frozen, decorate your cake. its easier to ice that way they place back in freezer. defrost 2-3 hours before severing and your cake will taste great and be the star of the night
