Ingredients

  • 1 box Duncan Hines german chocolate cake
  • ! large bar Baker's German chocolate
  • ! can coconut pecan frosting
  • Extra toasted chopped pecans, optional

Baking Instructions

  1. Prepare German chocolate cake as directed on box, adding one entire bar , grated of Baker's brand german chocolate
  2. Cool completely in pan, then frost top and and between layers of cake. Top with additional pecans, if desired.
  3. *****Cooking time may need to be increased if cake remains too moist

We can only guess that using skim milk in the Tres Leches cake absolutely rendered it inedible. We took one bite and it was so awful that we put the rest down the garbage disposal. Those who have mad this cake successfully; what kind of milk did you use? I always buy Duncan Hines products as we like them the best. They are moist and delicious. But his Tres Leches was a complete disaster!

On the recipe for Lemon Crumb cake, I believe there is a mistake in amount ot water in recipe. I believe that it should be only 1/3. Batter was very thin and I think that is why crumbs sank. Still good, but not the desired crumb cake.
