Now this is what I call an easy cake.
- 1 package Duncan Hines plain white cake mix
- 2 tsp. cocoa powder
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 stick of softened butter
- 2 large eggs
- 2 ounces red food coloring
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Frosting
- One 8-ounce package softened cream cheese
- 1/2 cup softened, unsalted butter or margarine
- One 1-pound box icing sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans. Add all ingredients and mix as directed on the box.
