Poke Cake

Recipe Description
This cake is very pretty when sliced.

Ingredients Baking Instructions
  • 1 white or yellow Duncan Hines cake mix
  • Any color or flavor of Gelatin
  • 1 tub of whipped topping
  • 1large package of instant pudding (usually vanilla)
  1. Bake cake mix. Allow to cool for 15 minutes.
  2. Poke holes in cake with large fork.
  3. While cake cools, prepare gelatin according to directions.
  4. Pour gelatin over cake evenly, then refrigerate.
  5. Prepare the pudding according to directions and spread on top of cake.
  6. Finish by spreading small container of cool whip on top.
  7. Addtional toppings can decorate the top of cake if desired. Coconut, colored mini marshmallows, Nuts, sprinkles, etc.

Hasn't this recipe been around for quite a while I have it from Jello Co. for many years.

Yes, it was called Stripe it rich cake. I only use the pudding instead of gelatin, topped in cool whip. Love it and haven't had it in years, husband don't like to try new recipes :( Me, I'd eat the whole cake myself, that's why I don't make it :) LOL
