Recipe Description
Very moist and tasty cake brings back good memories of me and mom in the kitchen.

Ingredients Baking Instructions
  • 1 Duncan Hines Yellow cake mix
  • 1 can 7up
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 can crush pinapple
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. flour
  1. Mix cake as directed except use 7up instead of water.
  2. Bake as directed.

  3. For icing:

  4. In sauce pan put butter sugar and pineapple and bring to boil.
  5. Add egg flour and coconut. Simmer till thicken.
  6. Pour icing over top of cake, let cool and serve.
  7. You can also punch holes to let liquid go through cake.

wonderful!! I did not drain the pieapple and I used slightly more flour
