Jayme Lebahier Recipe shared by:

Easy 3 ingredient cake that is always popular at potlucks. I found it in an old church cookbook. You can vary the cake mix and pie filling to suit your taste. IE: Yellow cake mix with peach pie filling; white cake with blackberry pie filling.

Tips

Guilt free cakes

Guilt free cakes

When I'm in the mood for cake, I always use applesauce instead of oil (up to 1/2 cup). This way, I can feel guiltfree about what I'm eating (I don't like frosting on my cakes). Makes the cake nice and moist, too!

substitutes

instead of using regular vegetable oil in cake mix use extra virgin olive oil. it makes the cake extra moist and fuffy if you dont like dry cakes.
