What do you get when you cross a German Chocolate Cake with Cheesecake? YUMNESS!
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 Duncan Hines German Chocolate cake mix (or your favorite chocolate variety)
- 1 1/3 cup water
- 1/2 cup oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- optional: 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, room temperature
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray bottom and sides of 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Sprinkle coconut and pecans evenly over bottom of pan.
- Combine cake mix, water, oil, eggs and flavorings. Pour evenly over ingredients in pan.
- Combine cream cheese and butter until well combined, slowly add powdered sugar, mixing until smooth.
- Drop large spoonfuls evenly over cake batter.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- IMPORTANT: Toothpick will not come out clean.

Great cake! I made this for work and everyone loved it. Very moist and delicious.
