Recipe Description
This is an unique version of the traditional German Chocolate cake.

Ingredients Baking Instructions
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 box Duncan Hines German Chocolate cake mix
  • 1 box powered sugar
  • 8 oz. crem cheese
  • 1 stick butter
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Layer 1) mix together coconut and pecans then place in a 13x5-inch pan.
  3. Layer 2) mix German Chocolate cake mix as directs on package.
  4. Mix remaining ingredients together and place on top.
  5. Bake 40 minutes.
  6. Land O'Lakes butter works well.

I couldn't get enough of this cake when I first tried it. Very good and also very easy to make. Make sure the cream cheese is room temperture or it just won't come out right.

This is so good. I like to add a bit of caramel topping (jarred) to the top too. Almost tastes like a turtle candy.

This cake was absolutely to-die-for. I made it for a potluck at work, and every single piece was gone!! I have also made it without the nuts, as I am not a big nut fan, and it was just as good.
