Duncan Hines Classic White Cake Mix flavored with berries for a Pink and Blue cake.
- 1 box of Duncan Hines Classic White cake mix
- 3 egg whites or 3/4 cup sub.
- 1 /3 cup oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup blueberries (you may use fresh, frozen, or pie filling)
- 1 cup strawberries (you may use fresh, frozen or preserves)
- 1 can Duncan Hines Classic Vanilla frosting
- 2 cups additional sliced mixed berries
- 1 (8oz.) Cool-Whip
- Mix cake mix, oil and water.
- Batter will be thick , place 1/2 in seperate bowl.
- Puree berries in blender or food processor.
- Puree each separately.
- Add blueberry puree to 1 bowl mix until combined and blue.
- Add strawberry puree to 2nd bowl mix until combined and pink.
- Pour each mix into 8 or 9-inch cake pans.
- Bake in 350 F pre-heated oven for 30-35 minutes.
- Cool completely.
- Mix frosting and Cool-Whip until smooth and fluffy.
- Place 1 layer on plate frost with 1/3 frosting top with sliced mixed berries.
- Place 2nd layer cake on top, frost cake completely.
- Garnish with berries.
- Enjoy!
- Use berries of choice. An excellent cake for parties, Holidays or Baby Shower. You may use preserves.

It sounds like a great summer recipe. I think I will try it as a marble cake.
