I love lemon cake and so do my children, especially my one year old daughter, Brooklyn.
This is moist and lemony. Great for kids who love a different kind of cake.
- * 1 package Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Lemon Supreme Cake Mix
- * 1 (3 ounce) package instant lemon pudding mix
- * 4 eggs
- * 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- * 3/4 cup water
- * 3 cups confectioners' sugar
- * 3 tablespoons water
- * 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- * 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
- 2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, 3/4 cup oil and 3/4 cup water. Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed.
- 3. Pour batter into a 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 25 to 30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean. Remove cake from oven and poke evenly with a fork every 1/2 inch. Frost while still warm.
- 4. In a medium bowl, combine confectioners sugar, 3 tablespoons water, 3 tablespoons oil and orange juice. Mix thoroughly and pour over cake, allowing it to saturate cake.
- 5. Decorate after it cools.
