Tips

Chocolate Pound Cake

Chocolate Pound Cake

When I make the Devils Food Chocolate Pound Cake, following the directions on the side of the box, I had a small bag of chcolate chips to mix. Saveing out enough chips to melt and drissle over the top of the cake.

Curious about the mix

Curious about the mix

Just curious I, and my large family, have been using Duncan Hines mixes for many, many years. It seems to all of us that there is not enough cake mix now, or the formula has been changed or something. I bake about 100 cakes a year. The cakes do not rise like they used to and are not as thick. They look okay until you take them out of the oven and then they seem to shrink and fall. We slice the layers into to make four. cake is now kind of flat. They used to be tall!!! Help!!
