Ingredients Baking Instructions
  • cake
  • 1/2 C butter or margarine
  • 1/4 C whipping cream
  • 1 c packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 C chopped pecans
  • 2 large cooking apples (about 21/3 C)
  • 1box super moist yellow cake mix
  • 1 1/4 C water
  • 1/3 c vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp apple pie spice
  • topping
  • 2/3 C white frosting (from 12 oz container)
  • 1/2 C frozen whipped topping
  • Caramel topping, if desired
  1. 1 Heat oven to 350 degrees Combine butter, whipping cream and brown sugar in saucepan and heat until butter is melted.
  2. Pour into a 13x9 inch pan.Sprinkle with pecans: top with sliced apples.
  3. 2 In large bowl mix cake mix, oil, eggs, and pie spice together until moistened.
  4. Carefully spoon batter over apple mixture.
  5. 3 Bake 40 to45 min Cool in pan 10 min
