Butter Pecan Pound Cake

Moist delicious and no frosting needed everything in one bowl

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 box butter pecan cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 container Coconut pecan frosting
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans -optional

Baking Instructions

  1. grease and flour a bundt pan or a 9 by13 pan can be used
  2. mix oil and eggs add butter pecan cake mix water and coconut frosting
  3. pour into prepared pan sprinkle chopped pecans on top
  4. bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
  5. note: 50 minutes worked for me with bundt pan

Soften cookies that were left out too long

Baking in dry climates presents challenges, especially when you leave your freshly baked cookies out on the cooling rack for more than a day. How disappointing is it to come home from work and have two dozen hard cookies? If this happens, put all the cookies in a zip lock bag with a piece of bread. Seal it up and wait a couple hours. Cookies will be back to normal overnight!

Add Mayonnaise

When mixing up the cake batter add one teaspoon of mayonnaise and mix well this will not change the taste at all it just adds a little bit more oil for a moister cake.
